As technology gives us the freedom to work from anywhere, more and more people are prizing the ability to do so.  More and more U.S. companies are giving employees the opportunity to work from home.

With the right skills, you can land a legitimate work-from-home job.

 

Leap Force – Leap Force is one way that Google rates websites for search engine ranking. If you’re hired, you make decent money (usually over $11/hour), you set your own schedule and it can be pretty fun to view and rank websites.

FlexJobs, an online service devoted to listing telecommuting, flexible schedule, part-time and freelance work opportunities, is a prime resource for the segment of the workforce in search of such opportunities.

Accutran Global:  Primarily financial transcription; however, they do also have medical and general transcription.  Of note:  Their work is very time sensitive and the majority of the work will be available during typical business hours and need to be done immediately.

Axion Data Services:  Data Entry, hires at-home workers, watch their website for available openings.

Daily Transcription:  General transcription, academic, corporate, closed captions, legal, and others. Short application form on their site to complete to apply.

Key For Cash:  Data entry.  They have an online application and test, which you can repeat to better your score or reapply.  Those who score high are contacted when there is an available opening.  Rates vary and are paid per keystroke, and you must earn $50 before payment to you is issued.

CallCenterOptions.com: A work-at-home model for doing business in medical, financial and insurance industries. ARO will hire you to take incoming calls from clients and patients.

TeleTech.com: With over 44,000 employees in over 17 countries, TeleTech is the biggest of the virtual companies. Their employee benefit program and perks are unmatched even when compared to brick-and-mortar companies.

Jobs.Uhaul.com: If your a full time, part time, or second job, this 60 year old corporate giant is hiring. Uhaul is an established brand name that not only pays well, but also offers excellent benefits. Work from home answering calls for Uhaul rentals or other customer service issues.

BalanceYourBooks.com: They hire bookkeepers, accountants, appointment setters and salespeople to work from home.

Ipsos i-Say is a survey app that allows you to take surveys from your phone, Earn points, and then cash out for PayPal or other rewards.  This isn’t going to be a full-time job by any stretch of the imagination, but not a bad way to make some extra dough.

Even though there are many legitimate work-at-home opportunities, the scams of years ago still exist. But it’s up to you to find them and steer clear, and it’s not always easy to tell the real deal from a scam.  Working at home is a dream of many, and thanks to technology, that dream is coming true for more people than ever.
